Portfolio Development
This comprehensive university prep course helps students to develop an exceptional university entrance portfolio, explore professional careers, and assemble the tools they need to succeed in school.
Life Drawing
The Life Drawing course provides students with the opportunity to level up their drawing skills through studying the human figure. With a rotating roster of models, the students tackle various exercises ranging from fast gesture sketches to detailed drawings of poses.
The schedule is every Thursday from 5pm-8:30 pm. Contact us to inquire about our drop-in rates.
Advanced Drawing Foundations
This two-part foundational course emphasizes perspective and lighting principles through drawing exercises. First, students will gain a solid understanding of structure and space, then focus on rendering and working with light and shadow. This course gives students the tools to understand form and light so they can unleash their creative potential.
Analogue Painting
This course will cover the timeless fundamentals of acrylic painting and is essential for the aspiring painter. Students will learn color theory, study the techniques used by the Great Masters, practice portraiture, and understand the subtleties of skin tone through exercises in landscape and plein air painting.
Digital Painting
This course will focus on scene composition, light values, perspective, tone, and visualization to help students breathe life into their creative worlds. No background knowledge required—we will bring you up to speed on techniques and software.
Entertainment Arts (Concept Art, Animation, and Illustration)
For students interested in university-level studies in Entertainment Arts, this program includes lectures, demos, workshops, and critiques tailored to each individual. With this catered curriculum, students will develop the necessary skills to create a complete body of work for their portfolio.
Pre-Requisites: Completed ADF requirements in perspective, rendering, and color.
Nice to have: 3D Modeling in Blender
Architecture
Alongside the Portfolio Program, this course focuses on those students pursuing university-level Architecture studies. Students are engaged through a combination of history, lectures, exercises, and projects.
3D Modelling
This foundational 3D modelling course will allow students to expand their designs to new dimensions through sculpting and rendering. Instruction will be provided as-needed for various softwares, such as Blender and Rhinoceros 3D.
